Danlongsi town is located in the southeast of Huoshan County, Lu'an City, Anhui Province, upstream of Foziling reservoir. It has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages and 172 villager groups, and is the outlet of southeast mountainous area. Danlongsi town government is located in the center of dongfengqiao village market town, the intersection of 318 provincial road and LiuQian expressway. In order to expand the development space, the government moved from the original small market town of Danlong temple to this place on December 26, 2002. On February 27, 2015, Anhui provincial government agreed to abolish danlongsi Township and establish danlongsi town. In 2017, the administrative area of danlongsi town was 13693 hectares, with 11870 permanent residents.

In August 2020, it will be selected as Anhui summer resort in 2020.

On February 27, 2015, with the consent of Anhui provincial government, danlongsi township of Huoshan County was abolished and danlongsi town was established. The town government is still stationed in dongfengqiao village. In 2017, the administrative area of danlongsi town was 13693 hectares, with 11870 permanent residents.

In June 2020, it was awarded the title of "the fifth civilized village in Anhui Province".
