Limin town
Limin town is under the jurisdiction of Suihua City. It is located in the northeast of the city, on the north side of suijia railway, on the South Bank of Hulan River, and adjacent to Qing'an County in the East. The town government is 21 kilometers away from the city.
The name of the town comes from the name of the local residents. Limin Village, formerly known as "Li Shu Bo Village", was changed into Limin Village during the land reform. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Suihua Prefecture. After the founding of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Jinhe Town, Suihua county. After the fall of Northeast China, it belonged to jinhebao at first and later to Jinhe village. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was under the jurisdiction of Jinhe District in 1946 and the seventh district in 1951. In April 1956, the township was divided into four townships: Limin, Jinhe, Dongjin and Longtai. In August 1958, the four townships were merged to form the Jinhe people's commune. In 1961, it was divided into four communes: Limin, Dongjin, Jinhe and Longtai. In 1984, Limin commune was changed into Limin township. In December of the same year, it was changed into Limin town.
The terrain of Limin town is high in the South and low in the north, and the Hulan River is low-lying, with more POZE and grassland. The town covers a total area of 106 square kilometers, with 73000 mu of arable land, mainly for grain crops. There are sand and stone factory, cement factory, gevas factory and so on. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 19650000 yuan. There are eight villages under the jurisdiction of Hongguang, Lidong, Limin, Lixing, Lisheng, Qiancheng, Lifa and Lixin. At the end of 1992, the total population of the town was 19100, including 2155 non-agricultural population. The town government is located in Limin Village.
