Kongdian Township

Kongdian Township, subordinate to Datong District, Huainan City, Anhui Province, was established in 1992 after the district was withdrawn and the township was merged by Kongdian Township, Machang Township, state-owned caichengtang fishing ground and Donghe and wangci villages of Shuihu Township in Changfeng County. Kongdian Township borders Shuihu town of Changfeng County in the south, Dingyuan and Fengyang across the lake in the East, jiulonggang town of Datong District in the north and Dongshan forest farm in the West. It is a typical hilly area with frequent natural disasters and uneven distribution of water resources in time and space. Eight villages along Gaotang Lake in the east of the township are rich in water resources, while 14 villages in the middle and west of the township and along the mountain are deficient in water resources. The seasonal distribution of rainfall is uneven, with more rainfall in summer and less rainfall in spring and autumn. In 2002, the township was listed in the provincial comprehensive management Township of Jianghuai watershed.

In 1997, it covers an area of 120 square kilometers and has a population of 44000. In 2004, Kongdian township was under the jurisdiction of Datong District, Huainan City.
