Machikou area is a town (area) under the jurisdiction of Changping District, Beijing. It is located in the central and southern part of the area. By the end of 2006, it had an area of 58.4 square kilometers and a population of 27900. It has jurisdiction over 1 community and 21 administrative villages. The Office (town government) is located in Beixiaoying village. Jingchang expressway, Jingbao railway, Jingtong railway transit.

Ma Chi Kou township was established in 1958, commune in 1961, township in 1983 and town in 1990. In 1996, it covers an area of 37.6 square kilometers and has a population of 22000. It governs 14 administrative villages including Baifu, baiquanzhuang, Wutun, shangxinxiang, xiaxinxiang, Hongdao, machekou, hengqiao, Tucheng, louzizhuang, beizhuangheu, dongzha, Xituo and dongtuo. In December 1997, tingzizhuang township was abolished and merged into machikou town. In 1999, Tulou village and Ge Village in Tulou Township were assigned to machekou town; in the same year, machekou town was abolished and machekou District Office was set up. At the end of 2002, it covers an area of 58.4 square kilometers and has a population of 32100. It has jurisdiction over one community and 21 administrative villages including mangtun, naigantun, Tucheng, Tulou, shangxinxiang, xiaxinxiang, zhangtou, dongtuo, dongzha, Beixiaoying, beizhuangheu, Baifu, Xituo, baiquanzhuang, Xindian, Hongdao, tingzizhuang, Gecun, louzizhuang, hengqiao and machekou.
