Zhihuai Street

Zhihuai street is located in the prosperous area of Longzihu District, Bengbu City, adjacent to Jiaotong road and Dongsheng Street in the East, Jinpu railway in the south, Guozhi street and Dongfeng Street in the west, Huaihe dam in the north, with an area of 0.75 square kilometers. The street has 6 neighborhood committees including station new village, Yan'an Road, Guangming Street, Zhihuai second village, Yanhuai road and Xinma Road, with 22091 residents (2010). There are more than 30 enterprises and institutions in the jurisdiction, including Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College, Anhui Academy of water sciences, Bengbu Railway Station, etc. There are 8 street enterprises.

Historical evolution

Longhu branch was established in 1960, renamed Zhihuai branch in 1968, and Zhihuai sub district office in 1978.

Population and jurisdiction

The district is located in the middle of the eastern urban area. In 1996, it covers an area of 0.75 square kilometers and has a population of 27000. It has jurisdiction over 11 neighborhood committees, including Chezhan new village, Risheng lane, Yan'an Road, Yan'an Li, Guoqiang Road, huaiguang, Guangming Street, Zhihuai Second Village, Yanhuai, Xinma road and Guangming Li. In 2010, the total population was 22091.

Party branch

The sub district Party Working Committee has eight grassroots party branches, including one sub district organ branch, six community general Party branches and one sub district enterprise branch. At present, there are 422 party members. There are 42 Party organizations in community units, 3406 party members and 1881 party members living in street communities.

The sub district office consists of seven departments: Party and government office, family planning office, social security comprehensive management office, economic affairs department, urban construction management department, social work department and Armed Forces Department. At present, there are 16 staff, including 7 national civil servants and 9 institutions.
