Yifeng town

Yifeng town is located 20 kilometers west of Zhumadian City, surrounded by mountains on three sides and shaped like a basin. It is located at the junction of Yicheng District, Queshan, Biyang and Suiping counties, one district and six towns.. East of Zhumadian City and 107 National Road only 20 kilometers, traffic location is very superior.

The total area of the town is 116 square kilometers, with mountains and hills accounting for about 67%, woodland area of 110000 Mu and cultivated land area of 53000 mu. The town landform is surrounded by mountains on three sides, the central plain, known as the small basin in southern Henan. The forest coverage rate of the whole town is 68%, and the forest volume is 20 million cubic meters. Jindingshan scenic spot is a tourist spot.

Historical evolution

Langyuan commune was established in 1958, changed its name to Yifeng commune in 1961 and changed to township in 1983. In 1997, it covers an area of 156 square kilometers and has a population of 20000. On 21 December 2009, with the approval of the people's Government of Henan Province, the renovation system of Yifeng town in Queshan county was put under the jurisdiction of Yicheng District of Zhumadian City (yuminxingpi No. 47).

In 2009, it was rated as the hometown of culture and art in Henan Province and the top ten charming towns in Henan Province. In 2012, it was named as a famous landscape tourism town in Henan Province by the Department of housing and urban rural development and the Department of culture of Henan Province, and named as a forestry ecological town by the people's Government of Zhumadian City. In July 2014, it was approved as a national key town by the Ministry of housing and urban rural development, and won the title of national characteristic landscape tourism town.

Yifeng town has 13 administrative villages, including Yifeng, Laozhuang, dazifang, songchong, Zhaotai, niewan, Xianglin, xiaodengzhuang, nanlaozhuang, Pangge, Luwan, Penglou and hulou.

Economics

Due to the unique terrain and climate characteristics, the crops in Yifeng town are widely distributed, mainly producing wheat and corn. The main characteristics of agriculture are late autumn pear, wild grape, flat peach, wrapped eggs and so on. There are more than 50 kinds of trees, such as chestnut, Quercus acutissima, Albizia julibrissin and Juglans regia. There are more than 30 kinds of shrubs, such as hawthorn, shanzhima leaf, Forsythia suspensa and Vitex negundo. There are more than 50 kinds of precious medicinal materials, such as Polygonum multiflorum, lily, Fritillaria and Salvia miltiorrhiza. The forest resources are well preserved.

Yifeng town is only 20 kilometers away from the urban area and 107 national highway, Beijing Guangzhou railway and Beijing Guangzhou high speed railway in the East. The traffic location is very superior. Shangtong road and Qiyi road run through the whole town. Jindingshan forest farm has been awarded the state-level advanced forestry production unit twice. Jindingshan has beautiful scenery and great potential for tourism development. With picturesque green mountains and rivers, beautiful forests and gullies, Jindingshan scenic spot is famous for its green onion forest water and natural oxygen bar; Yunmengshan ancient chestnut health garden is famous for its towering ancient trees and flowing streams. Ant mountain is mysterious and strange because of the great man lying on the screen and the ancient legend.

Yifeng town has a long history and profound cultural heritage (Zhang Liang, a military strategist of the Han Dynasty, once stationed a general here, but the former site of Zhang Liang's station and its tomb remains are still preserved in Zifang village of Yifeng town to this day). At present, there are 26 folk art groups, 2 amateur troupes, and more than 400 artists. Among them, gongs and drums team of Yifeng village, Yangko team of Laozhuang village, story team of Luwan village, Yueju troupe of nanlaozhuang village are well-known. The Party committee and government of Yifeng town attach great importance to the cultural work, basically reaching the goal of having art groups and actors in every village. On the one hand, we organized the masses to process the geographical names, cultural allusions and folklores of ant bees. On the other hand, according to the place names and some legends of ant bees, we sorted out and refined the ant bee spirit of "unity and cooperation, diligence and dedication, fearing no difficulties and risks, and bravely carrying heavy burdens". In order to carry forward the spirit of ant bee, Li Wenqing, Secretary of the Party committee of ant bee Town, personally wrote the song of ant bee spirit, which was published in Zhumadian daily and composed into a song, which was sung among the cadres and masses, inspiring people to make progress, and of great educational significance.

The cultural heritages mainly include: Yifeng town is the temporary command site of Queshan County on the eve of liberation, Guiguzi, the originator of political strategists, Pang Juan, the military strategist, Li Chuang Wang's hiding place, the ancient village wall site, dianjiangtai, and the ancestral home of Zhang Liang, the famous general of Han Dynasty.
