Daotai Township

Daotai Township, located in Longquan City, Zhejiang Province, northeast of the city, Xiangong lake. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, dipping from north to south. There are more than 30 peaks with an altitude of more than 1000 meters, with high mountains, undulating mountains and crisscross valleys and streams. The Longquan River at the source of Oujiang River passes through the border. With an area of 349.19 square kilometers (2017), the township is the largest in Zhejiang Province and even East China. The Township People's government is located in dabaian village, 25 kilometers away from Longquan City. It is adjacent to Yunhe County in the East, Anren town and Tashi Township in the south, Fengwu and Chengbei Township in Longyuan street in the west, and Songyang County in the north. Qing Dynasty is Longquan (also known as Jiande township) 21 capital, in 1912 divided into Xiabei township. Yanchuan, Gongcun, Shuangping and Wangzhuang were merged into Daotai township.

infrastructure

Daotai township is rich in hydropower resources. In the 1960s, dabaian cascade I and II were built, and two small hydropower stations were built in lingchi of daotaixi and Xikeng of dashixi, with a total installed capacity of 2800 kW. In the 1980s, Jinshuitan hydropower station was built in the province, and the taixiang section of Longquan Xidao became Jinshuitan reservoir Xiangong lake. In order to support the national construction, 19 administrative villages in Daotai Township were flooded after two major migrations and backwardness of Jinshuitan reservoir and dabaian power station.
