Jinshuitan town

Jinshuitan town is located in the north of Yunhe County, in the upstream of Oujiang River, 18 kilometers away from the county, with convenient transportation. It is adjacent to Shitang town in the East, Fuyun and Fenghuangshan streets in the south, chishi Township in the West and dadongba town in Songyang County in the north. The total area of the town is 147.6 square kilometers (2017).

The total area of mountain forest in the village is 184288 mu, including 115885 national ecological public welfare forest and 19616 Mu Camellia oleifera forest, with a forest coverage rate of more than 85%.

Historical evolution

The town was set up for the construction of Jinshuitan hydropower plant in 1987. in September 2011, some administrative divisions of Yunhe County were adjusted, the organizational system of Dayuan township was abolished, and its administrative region was merged into Jinshuitan town. After the adjustment, Jinshuitan town has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages, and the town government remains unchanged (jinshuikeng Village).

Jinshuitan town governs 22 administrative villages, including jinshuikeng, changlulong, Shipu, Liantang, wunongkeng, fengtonggang, Meishan, Longmen, Longdu, Tianlong, wailong, Ruitan, fanzhenlong, Zifang, Dujiao, XUHU, taozikeng, Dayuan, Dananshan, Tianpu, Longhou and Daniu, including 13 immigrant villages. The resident population was 2239 (2017). The town government is located in jinshuikeng village.

Jinshuitan town won the title of "2014 China's top ten most beautiful towns".
