Bidian town

Bidian Town, located in the hinterland of hilly area in the east of Tanghe County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, is 25 km away from Tanghe County in the West. It is located at the junction of two counties (Tanghe County, Tongbai County) and five townships (towns) (Gucheng Township, dahetun Town, mazhenfu Township, Wangji Township and Bujiang town of Tongbai County). The town now has 22 administrative villages with a population of 47436 (2017), and a total area of 113.3 square kilometers (2017) Year).

Bidian town was an important traffic road from Hubei Province to many places in Henan Province in ancient times. There were many merchants coming and going. Zhang Xingjiang

(1907-1936), also known as Zhenjiang, nicknamed Laoshen. Zhang Xinyi village, Bihou Town, Tanghe County, Henan Province. Born in a farmer's family, his father died early. He was subsidized by his uncle and went to Huilong Temple Primary School at the age of 9. From the age of 15, he began to shoulder the burden of supporting his family. In 1928, Zhang Xingjiang joined the Communist Party of China. Since then, he often preached popular revolutionary principles to the peasants and cultivated and developed a group of Party members. In 1929, Zhang Xinyi village established a CPC branch with Zhang Xingjiang as secretary. In October 1930, the Hubei Henan border special committee of the CPC was established with Zhang Xiajiang as member. After that, Zhang Xingjiang was transferred to the party secretary of Nanyang central county. In the winter of 1933, Zhang Xingjiang went to the Central Soviet Area of Jiangxi Province to represent the people of Hubei and Henan border areas in the second national Soviet Congress held in Ruijin in February 1934, and was elected as a member of the presidium to attend the Fifth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. In August, the working committee held a meeting of secretaries of the county Party committee in taibaiding temple, the main peak of Tongbai mountain. Zhang Xingjiang put forward: "we must build up armed forces, fight against the enemy with armed struggle, and strengthen the revolutionary forces.". The working committee of the border region began to realize the importance of carrying out armed struggle, decided to establish the Tongbai guerrilla area, and then did a lot of work for the establishment of the revolutionary guerrillas in the border areas of Hubei and Henan. In November 1934, the red 25 army set out from the Dabie Mountains for the western expedition and arrived at the Tongbai mountain area. Zhang Xingjiang was responsible for the introduction. Zhang Xingjiang led the red 25 army into Funiu Mountain, jumped out of the encirclement and interception of the National Revolutionary Army, and made the red 25 army out of danger. On July 13, 1935, the Hubei Henan border Working Committee convened a meeting of county leaders at bailianwa, a high mountain in the southwest of Tongbai, to discuss the organization of guerrilla armed struggle. At dawn on the 15th, surrounded by the Fifth District militia of Tongbai County, Zhang Xingjiang, regardless of his personal safety, led the enemy away, enabling the other four people to escape. In the autumn of the same year, the CPC Hubei Henan border Working Committee and the CPC Henan Provincial Committee established the CPC Hubei Henan border Provincial Committee with Zhang Xingjiang as secretary. On March 27, 1936, Zhang Xingjiang led the guerrillas in a long-distance attack and won 6 short guns and 8 long guns at the Gufeng Temple meeting in pingtian Town, Tongbai County. The next day, on the way to transfer, he encountered more than 300 members of the Kuomintang security group. Zhang Xingjiang led the guerrillas to fight and withdraw. At dusk, he was intercepted by reinforcements in Jiling village. The situation is very critical. Zhang Xingjiang should immediately order Chen Xiangzhai, the vice captain, to lead the team to break through the encirclement and go up the mountain. He is at the back of his palace. In the battle, Zhang Xingjiang
