Youxi town is located 12 kilometers southwest of Linhai City, Zhejiang Province, 7 kilometers away from the exit of Taijin and Yongtaiwen expressways. The town covers an area of 136 square kilometers, including 176000 mu of forest land and 12000 mu of cultivated land. It has 39 administrative villages with a total population of 20557 (2017). The territory has Jiangnan Grand Canyon, Zhiyan bathhouse, Fahai Temple, qizhetan waterfall, litchi cave, lover Island, ecological bamboo garden and other natural and cultural landscape, and has five animal and plant reserves. In 2007, the gross industrial output value was 680 million yuan, the total fiscal revenue and local revenue were 68.53 million yuan and 38.98 million yuan respectively, and the per capita net income of farmers was 6916 yuan.

The total fiscal revenue and local revenue were 68.53 million yuan and 38.98 million yuan, respectively, up 43.22% and 52.1% year on year. The per capita net income of farmers was 6916 yuan. at present, there are 11 large-scale enterprises, with garment accessories as the pillar industry and rubber, chemical coatings, mechanical accessories, small hydropower and other industries developing in an all-round way. In 2007, the industrial investment was 66.27 million yuan, and 9170 square meters of industrial standard house was built. "Weixing" was recognized as a well-known trademark in China, and Weixing zipper was recognized as a national inspection free product. at present, there are 1 agricultural leading enterprise in Taizhou City, 3 agricultural leading enterprises in Linhai City, 5 farmers' professional cooperatives, and 7 characteristic bases, such as loquat, tea, bamboo shoots, waxberry, citrus, Alpine Strawberry Seedlings and alpine aquaculture, taking shape. In 2007, 509 rural workers were trained and 122 were transferred.
