Kuiya Town, subordinate to Moyu County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the northwest of Moyu county. It is adjacent to Manglai Township in the East, aksalayi Township in the south, Zawa Township and wuerqi Township in the west, and the fourth company and animal husbandry company of the 47th regiment of the production and Construction Corps in the north, with an administrative area of 74.81 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, 57130 people had registered residence in Quya town. As of October 2019, 30 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of Kui Ya Town, and the town government was in Kui Ya village.

History of construction
At the end of Qing Dynasty, before Hejian county was built, it was kuiyaming (one thousand households) of karakashi city.
In 1919, Moyu county was still kuiya Ming; in 1937, it was changed into the Fourth District of Moyu County; in 1944, it belonged to Xinsheng Township, Yongyu Township and Yumin township; in 1948, it belonged to Yumin township.
In 1950, it belonged to the seventh and eighth districts of Moyu.
In 1956, it was the seventh district (the eighth district was merged into the seventh district).
In 1958, it became Guangming commune.
In 1978, it was renamed kuiya commune.
In 1984, it was changed to kuiya township.
