Haichang Street

Haichang street, belonging to Haining City, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the north of Haining City, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It is adjacent to Haiyan County in the East, Xiashi street and Haizhou street in the south, Tongxiang City in the West and Xiuzhou District of Jiaxing City in the north. In 203, Lu Xun was appointed as the Duwei of tuntian in Haichang and led the county. Haichang street was named after the old county. As the location of the provincial economic development zone and the north gate of Haining, Haichang street has great development potential.

Evolution of organizational system

In the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), Changshui county was ruled. (203) in the eighth year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Lu Xun was appointed as the Duwei of tuntian in Haichang and led the county. Haichang street was named after the old county. Taikangzhong (280-289) of Jin Dynasty belongs to Yanguan county (Haining ancient county name). In 655, Xiashi town was established. In the 20th year of Zhiyuan (1284 AD), Haining Prefecture was changed to Haining Prefecture. In September 1945, the government of Haining County moved to Xiashi town. In March 1949, after returning to zhiyanguan Town, Xiashi District Office was set up. In June 1949, the county government moved to Xiashi Town, and Xiashi district government and district town government were established. In 2003, the original Xiashi town was divided into Xiashi street, Haizhou street and Haichang street. The original composition of Shuangshan and Shiling townships was changed to Haichang street.
