Founded in February 1958, Hainan Liulian forest farm is an institution invested and constructed by the state. The administration is under the jurisdiction of Hainan forestry bureau, and the financial accounting is in accordance with the financial accounting system for state owned forest farms and nurseries.

Brief introduction of Forest Farm

Liulian forest farm is located in the northeast of Wanning City. It is the only provincial forest farm in Wanning City. It spans 11 village committees in three towns of hele, Shangen and Longgun in Wanning City. It is close to the sea in the East and closely connected with liulianling Nature Reserve in the West. There are three medium-sized reservoirs, namely Xiongzi, Xiangche and Hongse. Haiyu East Highway and east highway run through the forest area It is located in the Eastern Highway from Shangen to hele entrance and exit. The highway network is all over the forest area, and the traffic is very convenient. the landform of Liulian forest farm is low mountains and hills, the parent rock is sandy phyllite, the soil is yellow latosol and coarse skeletal latosol, the surface soil is shallow, belonging to tropical monsoon climate, the annual average temperature is 24.4 degrees, the annual average rainfall is about 2300m, the climate is warm and rainy. Liulian forest farm belongs to the enterprise management mode of public institutions, which is divided into two-level management of forest farm and work area, and one-level accounting. The forest farm organization is composed of the Farm Office (3 persons), production technology unit (4 persons), finance unit (3 persons), police station (7 persons) and forest administration unit (4 persons). There are 1 chief (section level) and 2 deputy chief (deputy section level). There are four work areas, namely Puzi, litchi, bamboo ware and Duofu. Each work area has a director, who is responsible for the management and arrangement of production and the logistics work of the work area. At present, the forest farm has a total population of 324 and 214 registered employees, including 108 in-service employees, 106 retired employees and 24 cadres and managers. At present, the total amount of fixed assets of the forest farm is 1.5622 million yuan, and the total income in 2004 is 2.164 million yuan. The forest farm pays 144900 yuan of old-age security for its employees every year, and the average monthly salary of its employees is 564.25 yuan. Since it was handed over to the provincial Social Security Bureau in July 2004, the average monthly salary of its retired employees is 853 yuan.

Operation

Liulian forest farm was approved by Wanning County People's Committee on February 6, 1958 according to the forestry development spirit of the Central Committee and Guangdong provincial Party committee. At the beginning, there were 70000 mu of wasteland suitable for forest, and at the same time, it also undertook the task of Closing Hillsides for secondary forest cultivation of 330000 mu. In June 1963, the Hainan Planning Commission and the Forestry Department of Hainan administrative region expanded the original planning area to 177000 mu. After the construction of the site, it first reclaimed and managed 35000 mu of barren hills and wasteland. In January 1991, the people's Government of Wanning County issued the state-owned mountain forest land ownership certificate to Liulian forest farm, which determined that the total land management area of the forest farm was 23645 mu. Later, due to the construction of expressways, the forest farm now has 23371 mu of management area and 22413 mu of forest land, including 6149 mu of forest land and 235 mu of unforested forest land. The original single pine and tree species are gradually developed Eucalyptus, pine, Casuarina equisetifolia, coconut, rubber, litchi, longan, mango and other tree species, many strains, the forest farm is developing towards the direction of ecological public welfare forest cultivation.

Geohydrology

Liulianlin site is located in the northeast of Wanning City, which is traversed by Haiyu East Highway and Huandao east highway. This area belongs to a typical tropical monsoon climate zone, with high temperature and rainy throughout the year. The annual average temperature is 23-26 degrees, the annual average sunshine is 1746.6-2661.5 hours, the annual accumulated temperature is generally greater than 8500 degrees Celsius, there is no frost throughout the year, and the annual rainfall is 1000-2640 mm. The growth period of plants is long and fast, which is very suitable for the intensive production of tropical fruits and vegetables. It is conducive to the development of intensive agriculture and forestry that integrates production, marketing and processing.

Management team

Liulian forest farm has 12 employees with technical titles, including 3 with intermediate titles. There are a large number of employees who have been fighting in the front line of production for a long time. After decades of production practice, they have accumulated a set of effective production experience and are fully competent for the implementation of tropical efficient agriculture and forestry planting projects. They bear hardships and stand hard work. Their grandparents and grandchildren live in the forest farm for three generations. The survival and development of the forest farm are closely related to the interests of their descendants. Therefore, they support their life-long work with the spirit of prosperity and shame.
