Historical evolution
Feiyun village was set up in Song Dynasty. In Ming Dynasty, it belonged to the 13th and 15th capitals of Nanshe township. Later, it changed to Feiyun Township, Yunnan Township, Yunfeng Township and Wuqiao township. In 1958, it was the Wuqiao management area of Haibin commune. It was changed into commune in 1961 and Feiyun Town in December 1985. From 1949 to 1992, it was the residence of Xianjiang district office. In 1992, Sunqiao township was merged into Feiyun Township, and Yunjiang Township and Zhouchang Township were merged into Yunzhou township. In 1997, Feiyun Town covers an area of 26.4 square kilometers and has a population of 32000.
