Feihong Township now governs 6 villages and 11 groups, with a population of 2005 (2017), and the existing farmland area is 2085 mu. It has jurisdiction over the following areas: chaeryan village, sujiaping village, shuicaoping village, hunshuigou village, Qiangou village and Shengou village.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Aba Prefecture decided to abolish Feihong township.

Feihong township is located in the middle of Maoxian County, 21 kilometers away from the county seat. It is located in songjibu of Feihong Township, adjacent to national highway 213, and in a typical arid valley. The annual rainfall is less than 300 mm, and the relative altitude is 1670-2700 M. The township governs 6 administrative villages (Shengou village, Qiangou village, Hungou village, shuicaoping village, sujiaping village, and Chaeryan Village) with 585 households and a population of 2312, of which the Qiang nationality accounts for more than 98%. The township covers an area of 68.79 square kilometers, with 4073 mu of cultivated land, 77667 mu of forest land and 4058.6 mu of converted farmland to forests. The main economic crops are Qinghong Crisp Plum, Zanthoxylum bungeanum and vegetables.
