Fuchunjiang town

Fuchunjiang town is under the jurisdiction of Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the three central towns in Tonglu County, and its economic aggregate is second only to Fenshui town. Tonglu County in the East and North, Jiande City in Hangzhou in the west, and Pujiang County in Jinhua in the southeast.

Hangzhou Xinjing Expressway and national highway 320 run through the territory. Ships can pass through Fuchun River and directly drive to major ports in China. It is a new industrial tourism town in Fuchun River Xin'anjiang national scenic area.

On July 29, 2020, it will be included in the National Health township (county) naming list of 2017-2019 cycle.

Fuchunjiang town is located on the Bank of Fuchun River in the southwest of Tonglu County, connecting Pujiang River in the southeast and Jiande in the west, Tonglu town in the north, 90 kilometers away from Hangzhou. It is a new industrial tourism town in Fuchunjiang, Xinanjiang and Qiandaohu golden tourism line of national scenic spots. The town has a total area of 195.08 square kilometers (in 2017) and a total population of 26307 people (in 2017). It governs 15 administrative villages and two communities of huangpoling and dayangping.

Historical evolution

Fuchunjiang town was originally a loess hilly land, scattered with five natural villages, namely Shengjia, Hengshan, huapingshan, Zhaiqian and Zhuangtou.

In the early days of liberation, there were only 192 households with 799 people.

In 1958, because the construction of Fuchunjiang Hydropower Station became a construction site, the population increased sharply. So the town was established in July of the next year, and it was named Fuchunjiang town from the name of the power station.

In May 1992, Yanling township was incorporated into the city.
