Tuhe town

Tuhe town gets its name because Gupo Wutu river passes through the town. It is located in the southeast of Guanyun County, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. It is adjacent to Wutu river farm in the East, Xinyi River in the South and Guannan county. Tuhe Town, located in the southeast of the beautiful hometown of monkey king in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, gets its name because it is close to the Wutu River in GuBo. At the beginning of 1947, after the strategic transfer of our army to the north and withdrawal from Shandong, the Kuomintang troops in Guanyun area gathered local stubborn and false forces to carry out a crazy "sweep" of our liberated area. On February 1, 1947, the Kuomintang commercial patrol Corps mobilized three brigades, with the cooperation of the home returning regiment, and with the absolute superiority of the troops, to sweep and encircle the five districts of chenlou, Dongxin, Tongxing, sidui and Yangji. On the 12th of the first month of the lunar calendar, Xu Jitai, the chief of the commercial patrol, took charge of Yang Ji and tried to kill more than 1500 cadres, militia and their families who were fighting in the district.

At that time, the Guanyun County brigade was a newly formed local army. Qin Qijun, Secretary of the county Party committee, served as the political commissar of the brigade, he Chuntai, deputy head of the county, served as the team leader, comrade Hao Guangsheng served as the deputy team leader, Comrade He Fujia served as the deputy political commissar, and Comrade Lu Baoxiang served as the combat staff. In the battle of Daxinggou, Guanyun County brigade, with its fearless dedication, killed and injured more than 120 enemies. In the case of outnumbered enemy, 23 heroes, including Hao Guangsheng, vice captain, died and more than 50 were injured.
