Dazi District, Dazi District, under the jurisdiction of Lhasa City, Tibet Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China, is located in the south central part of Tibet Autonomous Region, the south side of nyainqentanglah, the northeast of Lhasa City, and the downstream area of Lhasa River, a tributary of the North Bank of the middle reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River. Dazi means "Tiger peak" in Tibetan. In the Yuan Dynasty, Dazi sect was established. In 2017, Dazi county was abolished and Dazi District of Lhasa city was established.

In 2018, Dazi district's GDP was 1.844 billion yuan, an increase of 9.8% over 2017. Among them, the added value of the primary industry is 182 million yuan, the added value of the secondary industry is 1096 million yuan, the added value of the tertiary industry is 566 million yuan, and the ratio of the three industrial structures is 0.1:0.6:0.3.

History of construction

In the Yuan Dynasty, Dazi sect was established.

In 1720, the Ministry of Junggar was expelled and Dazi was officially transferred to the Tibetan local government.

In 1959, Dazi Zong and Deqing Zong merged into Dazi county.

The strata of different periods in Dazi district are exposed except the tertiary, mainly including Carboniferous, Permian, Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous. The Carboniferous is the oldest stratum, about 330 million years ago. There are gray metamorphic rock, andesite, tuff, gray thick bedded limestone, gray black slate, quartzite, etc., mainly distributed in the north of Luopu village, tangga township.

The terrain of Dazi district is high in the north and South and low in the middle. The north and South are controlled by the East-West Qiala mountain and guogalariju mountain respectively, and the middle is Lhasa Valley, which is a typical "U" shape landform. The highest peak is located at the junction of the South and zanao County, with an altitude of 5548 meters. The lowest point is the exit of Lhasa River, with an altitude of 3670 meters and a maximum relative elevation difference of 1878 meters.

The geomorphic types of Dazi area are divided into deep mountain and narrow valley geomorphic area in the north, deep mountain and narrow valley geomorphic area in the South and valley plain geomorphic area in the middle.

The Nyainqentanglha Mountains extend from east to West in the north of Dazi District, with a high altitude. There are nearly 10 high mountains above 5000 meters, such as baimajiri mountain and Zhalong Mashan mountain, etc. in the south, there are guogala mountain ritang mountain. There are about 20 high mountains, such as ganggari mountain, guogala mountain and so on.

Dazi district belongs to warm and cool semi-arid plateau monsoon climate with large temperature difference, windy and short frost free period. The annual average temperature is 7.5 ℃, the daily maximum temperature is 26.6 ℃, and the daily minimum temperature is - 15.8 ℃. Generally, it is the hottest in August and the coldest in January. The annual average frost free period is 135 days, the annual average daily temperature is above 5 ℃, the duration is about 163 days, and the duration is above 0 ℃ for 330 days.
