Xiuwen County Xiuwen County is located in the middle of Guizhou Province, which is under the jurisdiction of Guiyang city. It is located in 26 ° 45 ′~ 27 ° 12 ′ N and 106 ° 21 ′~ 106 ° 53 ′ E. It borders Wudang District in the East, Baiyun District in the south, Maotiaohe and Qingzhen City in the west, Qianxi and Jinsha counties across Liuguang River in the west, and Xifeng County in the north. Longchang street, the county seat, is located in the south of the county, 38 kilometers away from Guiyang, the provincial capital, and 20 kilometers away from the administrative center of the city. The county has a total area of 1075.70 square kilometers and a total population of 311300 (2008). It has won the titles of national advanced county in scientific and technological progress and national advanced county in cultural relics work.
On January 25, 2019, it was selected as the national "safe agricultural machinery" Demonstration County in 2018.
Historical evolution
Xiuwen belonged to Liangzhou, Jingzhou and Yelang in the pre Qin period. Since the Qin and Han Dynasties, it has successively belonged to Xiang County, Yao county, Manzhou and Gongzhou, Luoshi Guiguo, Gongzhou, Shunyuan road Army People's comfort department, Guizhou Xuanfu department and Guizhou Xuanwei department.
In 1283 (the 20th year of the Yuan Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty), the county set up the chief secretary. In 1630 (the third year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty), fuyongwei was built. In 1687 (the 26th year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty), Xiuwen County was set up. In 1914, Xifeng County was set up in the north of the county.
After liberation, it was subordinate to Guiyang, guiding, Anshun and Guiyang city. In 1963, it was subordinate to Anshun, and in January 1996, it was subordinate to Guiyang.
In July 2017, according to the general office of Guizhou provincial government, Guizhou provincial government approved to abolish Gubao Township and Xiaoqing township of Xiuwen County and establish gupu town and Xiaoqing town after research.

On July 3, 2017, Guizhou Provincial People's government officially issued the "Reply of Guizhou Provincial People's Government on agreeing to cancel the establishment of Gubao town and Xiaoqing town in Gubao Township and Xiaoqing township of Xiuwen County" (QFH [2017] No. 144): agree to cancel the establishment of Gubao town in Gubao Township of Xiuwen County, take the administrative region of gupu township as the administrative region of gupu Town, and gupu Town People's government is stationed in Zhexi village. It is agreed that Xiaoqing township of Xiuwen County should be abolished and Xiaoqing town should be established. The former administrative region of Xiaoqing township should be the administrative region of Xiaoqing Town, and the people's Government of Xiaoqing town should be stationed in Xiaoqing village. After the adjustment, Xiuwen County governs Longchang town, zazuo Town, Jiuchang Town, Liuguang Town, Liutun Town, saping Town, Liutong Town, Gubao Town, Xiaoqing town and Dashi Township, 113 administrative villages, 12 communities and 1414 villager groups.
In 2018, Xiuwen County governs nine towns and one ethnic township: Longchang town, zazuo Town, Jiuchang Town, Liuguang Town, Liutun Town, saping Town, Liutong Town, Gubao Town, Xiaoqing Town, dashibuyi township; in addition, Xiuwen County governs two township level units: Longgang community service center and Zhenzhu River Community Service Center.
In May 2020, the people's Government of Guizhou Province approved the abolition of Longchang town, zazuo town and Jiuchang town in Xiuwen County and the establishment of Longchang, Yangmingdong, zazuo, Jingyang and Jiuchang streets.
