Fengquan District Fengquan District, under the jurisdiction of Xinxiang City, Henan Province. It is an independent industrial zone approved by the State Council. It is located in the north of Xinxiang City, at the foot of Fenghuang mountain. With a total area of 115.6 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over three townships, including Dadu Town, Genghuang Township and Luwangfen Township, and two sub district offices, Baodong and Baoxi, with a cultivated area of 5958 hectares. The District People's government is located in the District Fu Road. It is about 10 kilometers away from the city center and 99 kilometers away from Zhengzhou, the provincial capital.
In the area, there are ancient cultural sites such as Lubao Longshan culture, Hetun Yangshao culture, Muye war and so on; the existing largest vassal mausoleum in China, Lu Wang mausoleum, has been listed in the world cultural heritage list.
Historical evolution
In the Shang Dynasty, it belonged to the capital. Qin belongs to Jiyi of Shanchuan county. In the 6th year of Yuanding (111) of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, Xinzhong township of Jixian County was set up as Huojia county and Jixian County, and Xinxiang County was set up as its territory, and the north station was under the jurisdiction of Xinxiang County. In May 1949, Xinxiang was liberated. in August 1949, the people's Government of Pingyuan province was established, and the north station is the first district of Xinxiang County, Xinxiang special district of Pingyuan province. In November 1952, Pingyuan province was abolished, and the North Station belonged to Xinxiang County, Henan Province. In 1955, the township was established in the abandoned area, and the north station was Genghuang township. In August 1958, Genghuang people's commune of Xinxiang County was established. In December 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Xinxiang City. from December 1949 to the end of 1959, the area was reduced five times to the North Station area. In 1960, Genghuang people's commune of Xinxiang City was renamed as Shibei station people's commune. In May 1963, the name of Genghuang people's commune was restored. in September 1969, the North Station Office of Hongqi District, Xinxiang City was established.
