Learn to keep secrets

In interpersonal communication, many people often reveal their secrets without reservation.

Sometimes, if you don't tell the person you are thinking about completely, you will feel uneasy and feel sorry for others.

In fact, it is very wrong to have this idea, which is not conducive to one's own social interaction.

To be sure, honesty is one of the good qualities in communication. No one wants to associate with an enigmatic person who never reveals his inner world and doesn't make clear his position on any problem. However, being honest doesn't mean that others have to expose everything in their inner world to you, nor does it mean that you have to expose everything in your inner world to others. Everyone has secrets, which is normal and necessary.

In real life, there are many people who hurt others and amuse themselves by divulging others' secrets, and even take the secrets they have as a lever to coerce others and a ladder to their own promotion. We should be on our guard against such people.

What should you do when you think it is necessary to keep your thoughts and things secret? There are two points: one is to endure loneliness and not reveal to others; the other is to ask in time and decline politely. It's better not to say "no comment" or "keep it secret for the time being", but to say it more gently.
