The former residence of Wang Xizhi is located in the West Street of the south foot of Jishan mountain in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province.

The old Scripture says: "Xizhi other industry, there are goose pond, wash inkstone pond, topic fan bridge exist Yan.". There is a right army ancestral hall in this temple. "

Another article in "Jiezhu Temple" states: "the former residence of Wang Xizhi, the right general of this Jin Dynasty, or other industries. There are two pools outside the gate, which are called goose pool and ink pool. I don't know where the temple started. " Inside the temple, there are the reclining Buddha Hall, the temple above, the bamboo hall, the snow Pavilion, the Yutai Pavilion and so on.

In the Southern Song Dynasty Baoqing's Kuaiji Xuzhi: "the temple was first named Chang'an. In the sixth year of Tang Dazhong's reign, he began to abstain from pearls. "

Today, the mountain gate, the main hall and the East chamber were rebuilt in 1924. It faces south and back to Jishan, covering an area of 1470 square meters. The main hall is 25.80 meters wide and 16.60 meters deep, with huge column foundations. There are four stone tablets donated to build the temple in Xianfeng and Guangxu years of the Qing Dynasty.

In 1983, the mountain gate, the main hall and the ink pool in front of the temple were rebuilt. The hall displays Wang Xizhi's historical materials.

It is a cultural relic protection unit of Shaoxing City.
