Jiuliantang park is a park in Wuhu, only a few miles away from Jinghu Park and Zheshan park.

Development history

"The lotus leaves are infinitely green in the sky, and the lotus flowers are red in the sun." In the 1980s, every midsummer, jiuliantang presented a scene of lotus shampoo and lotus blossom. The quiet jiuliantang used to be a lotus resort most longed for by Jiangcheng citizens. However, due to the serious pollution of jiuliantang in the late 1980s, the water in the lake became no longer clear, and the lotus flowers in the pond gradually disappeared. The citizens had not heard of lotus fragrance for more than 20 years, and the pond was overgrown with weeds. In 2003, the municipal Party committee and government decided to make great efforts to transform jiuliantang park. Through nearly three years of unremitting efforts, the municipal construction committee finally completed the main project of comprehensive renovation of jiuliantang park at the end of 2005. Today's jiuliantang park has restored its former style, presenting a new scene of clear lake water, green rockery, fragrant flowers and green trees. In 2008, jiuliantang shanty town environmental comprehensive improvement project won the "China living environment model award".

Park features

Although the area of jiuliantang park is small, the waterside pavilions are exquisitely designed, and the trees, flowers and plants complement each other. Walking along the Huantang Road, you can see the view Pavilion, the hydrophilic platform and several newly renovated bridges. The winding path changes the scenery step by step. Jiuliantang's vitality and aura are reflected in her enchanting green: verdant trees and rippling green waves. Green is pure, green is gentle and elegant, like a girl's bright eyes, clear water. The garden design of jiuliantang is ingenious. In addition to retaining the original cypress, metasequoia, Magnolia grandiflora and other large trees, the garden has also planted Osmanthus fragrans, Cinnamomum camphora and many other trees and shrubs with patterned flowers. More than 100 varieties of trees and plants make it a botanical garden. Every kind of flowers and trees are marked with the name of the plant with a small sign, so that people can understand the relevant knowledge while watching.

If we say that jiuliantang is peaceful in the daytime, then jiuliantang in the evening is very lively and has a special charm. When the night falls, the lanterns shine, the outline lights of bridges and waterside pavilions and the lawn lights on the bank are shining, the shadows of trees in the garden are dancing, and the water is sparkling. People who have been busy all day come to jiuliantang for leisure, walking and fitness. The flowing music and dancing figure constitute a harmonious and vivid picture of life. Compared with Jinghu, jiuliantang's artificial landscape level is slightly better, which also reflects the builders' innovation in greening and beautification.
