Northwest Lake green square is located in the hinterland of Jianghan District, Hankou, in the middle of Financial Street, connecting Jianshe Avenue in the south, Xinhua Road in the East and the podium square of China Construction Bank building in the West. It was completed and opened at the end of 1999. The square covers an area of 311700 square meters, including 170000 square meters of water area and 141700 square meters of land area, with a green space rate of 22%. It is a modern city square with high quality and distinctive features, which integrates greening, lighting and beautification, and integrates leisure, entertainment, fitness and storage functions.

The square construction highlights the principle of "people-oriented" and reflects the regional characteristics of Wuhan. The whole landscape is composed of water overhead viewing platform, arc-shaped sunken square, large dry fountain, maze, hydrophilic platform, three-dimensional parking lot, trestle, leisure corridor, sculpture, large music square and combined sports equipment to meet the needs of people's leisure, entertainment and communication.

The main garden plants are weeping willow, and there are camphor, Cupressus, Euonymus japonicus, Euonymus yunnanensis, etc.
