Huanghuayuan Bridge

Chongqing huanghuayuan bridge, located on the Jialing River in the main urban area of Chongqing, connects huanghuayuan in Yuzhong District and liaojiatai in Jiangbei District. Its completion greatly alleviates the traffic jam in Niujiaotuo Jialing River Bridge and Guanyin bridge area, and promotes the economic development of several main urban areas, especially Jiangbei District.

Huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge is a river crossing channel connecting Jiangbei District and Yuzhong District in Chongqing, China. It is located in the Jialing River waterway. It is the first bridge built in the main city of Chongqing after it was directly under the central government.

The construction of huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge was started on December 26, 1996 and opened to traffic on December 26, 1999;

On February 20, 2013, the overall maintenance project was carried out; on April 18, 2013, the overall maintenance project was completed, and the bridge was put into operation again.

Huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge starts from Jiangbei City West Street in the north, crosses Jialing River Waterway in the north and huanghuayuan interchange in the south. The bridge is 1208 meters long and the main bridge is 1023.32 meters long. The bridge deck is a two-way six lane urban trunk road with a design speed of 60 km / h.

Construction process

On December 26, 1996, the construction of Jialing River Bridge in huanghuayuan started.

On December 26, 1999, huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge was opened to traffic.

On November 12, 2006, the north end of Jialing River Bridge in huanghuayuan was reconstructed.

On February 20, 2013, the Jialing River Bridge of huanghuayuan was repaired as a whole, and the partial repair of the bridge structure was added;

On April 1, huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge completed the maintenance of the left half of the road from Yuzhong to Jiangbei; on April 18, the overall maintenance of huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge was completed, and the bridge was opened to traffic.

On December 15, 2015, the lighting test of Jialing River Bridge in huanghuayuan was carried out.

Bridge location

Huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge is located in the north of Chongqing, China, connecting Jiangbei District and Yuzhong District. It is about 3.1km away from the upstream Jialing River Bridge in the East and 1.4km away from the downstream qiansimen Jialing River Bridge in the West. The bridge starts from Jiangbei Chengxi street in the north, crosses Jialing River Waterway in the upper and huanghuayuan overpass in the south, and passes through Yulu Avenue.

Overall layout

Huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge is composed of main bridge, approach bridge and Interchange Ramps, and the section of main bridge is arranged from northeast to southwest.

 

Design features

The huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge is a five span prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame bridge. It adopts three-dimensional prestressed system, with two upstream and downstream pairs. The approach bridge is a prestressed concrete hollow slab bridge. The main bridge deck takes the midpoint of the main bridge as the slope changing point, and each bridge box is designed as a single box single chamber section. The top flange plate of the box girder is set with a one-way cross slope to the outside, and the bottom edge of the beam changes according to a half cubic parabola. Due to the structural stress demand, four diaphragms are set at the junction of the main bridge and huanghuayuan interchange to connect the two bridge boxes, and the height from pier top to mid span beam changes according to the half cubic parabola.

 

Design parameters

Jialing River of huanghuayuan is 1208m long, the main bridge is 1023.32m long, with the span arrangement of (137.16 + 250 + 250 + 250 + 137.25m), and the approach bridge is 140m long, with the span arrangement of (35 + 35 + 35m). The overall width of the main bridge is 31 meters, the width of the carriageway is 24.5 meters, the width of the sidewalk is 2x2.5 meters, and the width of the central partition is 1.5 meters. The top surface of the box girder is 15.00 m wide and the bottom surface is 7.00 m wide. The beam height of the root section connecting each pier with the box girder is 13.80 meters, and the beam height of the cast-in-place beam section of each span and side span is 4.30 meters.

As of July 2014, FRP anti-collision pontoons have been installed at the piers of Jialing River Bridge in huanghuayuan to prevent the damage caused by the collision of ships passing through Jialing River.

As of November 2015, the huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge has been equipped with landscape lighting, long pole street lights and other lighting facilities to embellish the beauty of the bridge.

 

Light control system

As of December 2016, multi Lane independent light control facilities have been installed at the south end of the huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge to alleviate peak congestion.

On January 1, 2018, Chongqing Municipal People's government cancelled the collection of road and bridge tolls in the main urban area, including the huanghuayuan Jialing River Bridge.
