history

Liu Ying, a native of Hui'an County, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, came to Taiwan with Zheng Chenggong in 1661, and her descendants went to Dongshi to explore. Since the Qing Dynasty, some Han people have crossed the sea to reclaim land and made up fishermen, who have worked in shetian for generations. In the same era, sun HUANGSHENG and Huang Sheng brothers moved to dongshiliao at toutouzijiao from Dongshi, Jinjiang County, Quanzhou, Fujian Province.

During the Japanese occupation period, Dongshi set up an office and changed it into dongshigang branch of Jiayi hall. In 1920, it was changed to dongshizhuang, dongshijun, under the jurisdiction of Tainan state.
