Shaliuhe scenic spot
Shaliu River scenic spot is located in the south of Gangcha County, Haibei Prefecture, Qinghai Province, which is named after Shaliu river.
Introduction to scenic spots
Shaliu river originates from the south foot of sangsiza mountain, the highest peak in Gangcha County, with a total length of 95 km. It flows through the county and then flows into Qinghai Lake, with a drainage area of 1320 square kilometers. Shaliu River scenic spot in Gangcha county is one of the best scenic spots to watch Naked Carp migration in China. Every summer from June to July, yellow carp in Qinghai lake swim upstream. They are in dense groups and migrate upstream to Shaliu River, Buha River and Quanji River in Gangcha county. When passing through the shoal, the dorsal fin comes out of the water, just like a thousand sails racing, and finally forms a strange landscape of "half river water, half river fish" in the suitable spawning place. The Tibetan people who live here have the saying of "riding, wading and trampling on dead fish", which is really a miracle of life deduction.
