Zhenbiancheng Village

Zhenbiancheng village is located in Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, near Mentougou District, Beijing. Zhenbiancheng is a small town that used to guard the great wall of Ming Dynasty. The village has been built since Ming Dynasty. There are two surnames in the village: Yang and Zhao. There are 72 hutongs with three streets and six lanes in the city. According to the local villagers, the ancient village was also a cultural disaster during the cultural revolution! Many houses or ancient buildings were damaged! Some of the existing old houses, temples and theatres still show a hundred years of history and ancient architectural culture. The villagers are very simple and hospitable! There are several farmhouses in the ancient villages of the town. It can solve the problem of accommodation. Local rich walnut, Begonia, almond and millet. Especially the walnut quality is good, the price is also expensive!

At present, there is no commercial development here. The economy is still very backward, the villagers are very simple! It's not far from the capital. It's worth a visit. In the blooming season, the mountain is full of apricot and Begonia flowers. Autumn is full of fruit. The city people can buy some local specialties, which is also a meager effort.

Zhenbiancheng Village

Zhenbiancheng village is located in ruiyunguan Township, Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province.

In December 2018, the Ministry of housing and urban rural development, together with the Ministry of culture and tourism, the State Administration of cultural relics, the Ministry of finance, the Ministry of natural resources and the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas, on the basis of the recommendation of all provinces (autonomous regions and cities) and the review of the expert committee, plans to include Zhenbian villages in the fifth batch of Chinese traditional villages list.

In January 2019, the Ministry of housing and urban rural development and the State Administration of cultural relics decided that zhenbiancheng village is the seventh batch of famous historical and cultural villages in China.

On June 6, 2019, it will be included in the list of the fifth batch of Chinese traditional villages.
