Honglonghu Forest Park is a provincial forest park approved by Sichuan Forestry Department in January 1997. The forest park is located in Gulin County on the border of Sichuan and Guizhou, with a total planning area of 4600 hectares. The park has unique and dangerous geographical environment, luxuriant vegetation, towering ancient trees, beautiful landscape, quiet environment, clear climate and people, dense peaks and rocks, high gorge and flat lake, many exotic birds and animals, which has high value for forest tourism development. According to the survey, there are 47 natural scenic spots and 3 cultural scenic spots in Honglong Lake Forest Park, including 14 mountain and stone scenic spots, 17 water scenic spots, 10 plant scenic spots and 3 animal scenic spots.

Honglong Lake Provincial Forest Park is located in the north of Gulin County, Luzhou, Sichuan Province, 19.5km away from the county city. It is closely connected with Huangjing scenic area, covering an area of 30 square kilometers.

The whole lake area of Honglong Lake Forest Park is composed of seven lakes, including Honglong lake, Yuer lake and qinwa lake. Like seven bright pearls, it is inlaid in the high mountains with an altitude of more than 1600 meters. Xinjieping, the highest peak, is 1845 meters.

The lake area is surrounded by green hills, trees, water, boats and fish. When the drizzle is drizzling, the surrounding mountains are green and green, and the clouds are twining around them, like jade belts around the waist; the water surface centered on the Red Dragon Lake is covered with mist, and visiting the red dragon in person is like entering the fairy mountain. In hot summer, it is cool and comfortable, fresh air, fragrant flowers and birds, especially quiet, and the lake area is full of green ocean, which makes people relaxed and happy; in the middle of winter, it is covered with snow, Yushu and Qionghua, which is a northern scenery, and the unique Southern snow scenery makes people intoxicated. Hutou mountain, three kilometers away from Honglong lake, has a precipitous terrain and unique landscape, with a considerable sunrise and sea of clouds; Baishui Lake scenic spot under the sacrificial rock in the lake area is in a precipitous situation, with many wonders. It is connected with the water diversion project of Longzhao River, forming a ten mile long lake, which has become the most distinctive summer resort, vacation and tourism ideal Holy Land in southern Sichuan.
