Bayi Park was a tribute court in the Qing Dynasty. It is famous for its East Lake BaiHuaZhou, with a total area of 23.7 hectares and a land area of 6.4 hectares. The garden is full of trees and flowers. The park can be divided into Lake area and land area.
Development history
In the third year of Yuanhe (802) of emperor Xianzong of the Tang Dynasty, Wei Dan first advocated to control the lake, dredge silt and plant willows, and then there were "Wanliu dike" and "Huangjin dike". Du Mu once praised it as "ten willow DIHE", and since then East Lake has become a famous scenic lake.
After the Ming Dynasty, it was divided into three lakes: the East Lake, the West Lake and the North Lake. After the Republic of China, Hongshi was used to build the bank, and the North Lake became the South Lake and the North Lake. Today, the West Lake is connected by bridges and culverts. After the Song Dynasty, it is collectively referred to as the "East Lake".
There are three small islands in the East Lake, two of which are in Bayi Park, where BaiHuaZhou and children's Palace are located.
The name of BaiHuaZhou began in the Song Dynasty. Ouyang Xiu wrote the poem "reward the sage Yu BaiHuaZhou" and Xiang Zili's poem "love flowers" with the sentence "BaiHuaZhou is in full bloom".
During the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhang Cheng, the governor of Yuzhang, built the "Jiangwu Pavilion" in Nanzhou to study the water army. In 1746, Peng Jiaping, the governor of Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, built the "BaiHuaZhou" three character Monument and broke it. In November 1983, a stone pavilion was built.
