Xiaoshan Museum

Xiaoshan Museum, located in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is a local museum of history and art, which belongs to the Bureau of culture, radio, television, press and publication of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

The new Xiaoshan museum is located in beiganshan South Road, covering an area of 30 mu, with a construction area of 10000 square meters, an exhibition area of 2200 square meters and a warehouse area of 1000 square meters. There are "porcelain dawn" hall, "historical celebrities" hall, boutique hall, painting and calligraphy hall, multimedia hall and temporary exhibition hall. There are more than 4000 pieces in the collection, including five categories: ceramics, calligraphy and painting, metal, jade miscellaneous pieces and ancient books.

The purpose of the museum is to inherit the history of Xiaoshan and carry forward the ceramic culture. The service concept is based on cultural relics and audience. It is an important window for Xiaoshan to carry out cultural exchanges and carry forward traditional history and culture.

Development history

In 1958, the Xiaoshan County Museum was established. At that time, it was set up in the county cultural center, and was concurrently held by the staff of the cultural center.

In 1977, Xiaoshan County Cultural Relics Management Committee was established as Xiaoshan cultural relics management coordination organization, and the specific work is implemented in the county cultural center.

In 1987, the county cultural center set up a cultural relics group, which was changed into the Ministry of cultural relics in 1991. In the same year, an office of the municipal cultural relics management committee was set up, and the cultural relics department of the cultural center was responsible for the specific work.

In September 1993, with the approval of the editorial board of Xiaoshan City, the Municipal Museum was established. It worked together with the office of the cultural relics management committee. The office was located in Jiangsi and Zhiyuan temple. Since then, the museum has been officially established independently.

In July 1999, Xiaoshan museum was listed in Jiangsi.

In February 2003, the construction project of the new museum was approved. In October 2004, Jiangsi temple was changed into "Jiangsi Folk Culture Park" and opened free of charge.

On March 20, 2009, the new Xiaoshan museum was completed and opened free of charge

The main functions of Xiaoshan museum are cultural relic collection, exhibition, academic research, social education, as well as cultural relic protection and management. The purpose of the museum is to inherit the history of Xiaoshan and carry forward the ceramic culture. The service concept is based on cultural relics and audience. The service slogan is to explore the audience's wishes and meet the audience's expectations. It has been named as Hangzhou youth students' second classroom activity base, Xiaoshan District patriotism education base and Xiaoshan external image base. It is an important window for Xiaoshan to carry out cultural exchange and carry forward traditional history and culture

Xiaoshan Museum consists of office, display department, cultural and archaeological department, social service department, industry department, comprehensive department and Jiangzhi cultural and social security department. There are 43 employees, including 1 senior professional title, 1 deputy senior professional title, 4 intermediate professional title and 4 junior professional title.
