Zhushikou church, located at the junction of Guang'an Street and qianmenwai street, was founded in 1904. It is the first of eight churches opened by American Methodist Church after 1900.

Unlike other churches, Zhushikou church was presided over by Chinese priests from the very beginning. In 1921, the hall was expanded, basically forming today's three-story architecture of Zhushikou church. Due to the lack of fire prevention and earthquake resistance facilities at that time, in the process of building Guang'an Street, the safety issue here was put on the agenda. City and district leaders attached great importance to this. In order to preserve the church, they made a detour when they built the "Guangda" road. In June 2002, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Finance allocated more than 1 million yuan for the third large-scale reinforcement and maintenance of Zhushikou church. The restored Church is equipped with closed-circuit television so that believers can watch the priest's worship activities in the main church on the second floor at the same time.

Gothic architecture represents the highest achievement of European medieval culture. Church architecture is the outstanding representative of Gothic architecture, which is characterized by slender columns instead of thick walls. The shape is towering and light, the interior is mosaic painting and stained glass painting, big window, brilliant and mysterious. The sharp arches with light lines, the small spires with elegant shapes, the flying buttresses with light and transparent, and the slender high columns or clusters of columns create a mysterious illusion of upward sublimation and fascination. The famous Gothic churches include Notre Dame and Chatel.
