Xu's former residence

The former residence of the Xu family is a historic building of key protection level. The fourth wife of the Fengxi warlord zhang zuolin once lived here.

The building was built in 1926 and designed by Shen Liyuan, a famous architect in China. The building is a three story brick and wood structure, which adopts the British Victorian residential building form.

Xu's former residence

The building was built in 1926. It was originally a private house purchased by Mrs. Taixu, the third aunt of Zhang zuolin, the warlord leader, in the name of "Qingjie tangxu". All the relatives of Zhang family lived in this building when they went out of Beijing and Tianjin. Until 1941, Zhang family sold this building to others.

The building is located at the corner of munan road and Hong Kong Road. The building reaches Machang road in the East and south, Hong Kong Road in the West and munan road in the north. It covers an area of 650 square meters and a building area of 1330 square meters. It is a three story brick and wood structure, English courtyard building. It is a brick and wood structure three story building with exposed herringbone roof truss and large slope multi-storey roof. There are living room, study, dining room, bedroom and so on in the building. The decoration is exquisite. It is a typical high-grade residential building of English country villa style. The building is in good condition.
