Mausoleum of Mao Dun

Maodun cemetery is located in Lingshui neighborhood of xizha scenic spot in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province. It is close to water and hills, and the cemetery is built on the east side of the hillside. It is the highest point of the West Street. It has a very wide view. The original street view of Mr. Mao Dun's early life perfectly shows an ancient town culture that harmonizes landscape and humanity. The most complete garden area in Wuzhen, where the mausoleum is located, is full of life With good vegetation, lush cedars and pines and broad space, it can be called "geomantic treasure land".

The layout of the whole mausoleum is in the shape of "Zi", which is taken from Mr. Yu's representative work midnight. The strokes are simple, tortuous and fluent, with clear longitude and latitude, extending in all directions. The unique creative use of "Zi" has implied meaning in the aesthetic feeling.

On the way to the mausoleum, 85 steps were built, implying Mr. Mao Dun's 85 year old life course. These 85 steps are set in three different shapes to show the three different stages of Mr. Mao Dun's life and explain Mr. Mao Dun's plain and brilliant life.

In the cemetery are the ashes of Mao Dun and his wife Kong Dezhen. In the East is the mausoleum of Mao Dun's mother Chen Aizhu.
