"Xiaoxiang night rain" in the eight sceneries of Xiaoxiang refers to the place where there used to be Xiaoxiang ancestral temple and Xiangkou hall for studying in the past. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, Wang Debang and others founded the Binzhou Academy. In 1889, there were eight students in Pingzhou Academy who were selected as Gongsheng. Since then, the name of Yinzhou Academy was Yisheng, the highest institution in eight counties of Yongzhou. After the revolution of 1911, it was changed into Pingzhou Academy. Most of the ancient buildings have been demolished and rebuilt, but the ancient stone road in the center of the school is still green and shiny, with golden osmanthus and green leaves on both sides, and ancient camphor with hanging bamboo. The tall buildings are covered in the shade, with spring flowers and autumn osmanthus, fragrant and refreshing. Standing at the head of the island, looking at the Xiangjiang River galloping north, looking up at the blue sky and flying through the clouds, people are full of imagination and forget to return.
