Bailongtan waterfall

Bailongtan waterfall

Bailongtan waterfall is one of the important suspended waterfalls in Yaoshan (Shiren Mountain) national key scenic spot, national AAAA scenic spot and National Nature Reserve. The waterfall is 45 meters high and the water surface is 3-5 meters wide. It is formed when the spring water in the upstream Canyon falls down against the granite wall. Due to abundant rainfall, lush vegetation and abundant water conservation, the waterfall is inexhaustible all year round. Due to the long-term erosion of water flow and the influence of different forces such as cutting and rock erosion resistance, a 10 meter diameter and bottomless urn shaped cave formed in the middle of the cliff, which cut off the waterfall and presented two-stage drop. The upper part of the water flow into the cave, the cave full of water overflow, through the second stone fell into the white dragon pool. It is said that the waterfall is the residence of Bailong in Tiangong, so it is called Bailongtan waterfall. At the same time, it was also the place where King soron practiced.
