Zhulin temple in Yangyuan County

Zhulin temple is an ancient temple with a long history. It is located on the sunny slope of Daiwang mountain in Fulin, Laishan district. The temple is full of bamboo and cultural relics. According to historical records, in the second year of Dading in the Northern Song Dynasty, a famous monk founded Zhulin temple, which was composed of Mountain Gate, main hall, back hall and east courtyard side hall. Behind the temple is Daiwang mountain, with rugged rocks and beautiful scenery. Buddhist monks come here to pay homage and regard it as a holy land. Tourists come in an endless stream, and incense is always around. Zhulin temple is the only famous ancient temple with national style and strong fragrance in Jiaodong Peninsula. It was rebuilt in the past dynasties, rebuilt in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and recorded in the inscription of Emperor Qianlong. Ten years of turmoil has turned it into ruins. Today's reconstructed Zhulin temple not only retains the historical beauty of the holy name, but also expands its scale. The whole temple has a royal style and is magnificent. There are Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, Sansheng hall, dongxipeidian hall, bell and Drum Tower in the temple. Maitreya Buddha, Sakyamuni Buddha, western three saints, Guanyin Bodhisattva, dizang Bodhisattva, eighteen Arhats and other Buddhas are worshipped in the hall, which are vivid and lifelike. A pair of "ring stone lions" in front of the gate lie around the gate. There is Jiaolong spring behind the temple, which flows continuously all the year round. The rocks on the mountain behind the temple are jagged and of different shapes, such as Dharma protecting stone, red face stone, silk hat stone, bed nest stone, three person stone, etc., as well as the legendary immortal bridge and immortal cave, etc., which need to be further developed. It has beautiful scenery, wonderful mountains and waters, and is a wonderful place for worshippers and tourists from all ages.
