The indomitable POW Museum belongs to Sichuan Jianchuan Museum. Located in Anren Town, Dayi County, Sichuan Province, Jianchuan Museum mainly collects and displays cultural relics from the cultural revolution and the Anti Japanese war. 20 individual buildings have been designed by many architects at home and abroad. At present, the world's only independent museum with the theme of prisoners of war, the unyielding Museum of prisoners of war, is one of the monomer of the settlement.

Introduction to scenic spots

The exhibition area of the museum is 717 square meters. Through a large number of very precious historical photos and cultural relics, using repressive colors and heavy materials, the museum vividly and truly shows the heroic unyielding and tragic experience of the Anti Japanese soldiers who were captured because they ran out of ammunition and food, and exposes the crime of abusing prisoners by the Japanese army. They were all soldiers of the Chinese nation against the enemy, but their historical role and contribution have not been taken seriously and have been buried in history for a long time. Their hard fighting, heroic sacrifice and suffering are part of the heavy price paid by the Chinese nation for the victory of the Anti Japanese war 60 years ago, and are a history worthy of our eternal attention.

Design concept

The design breaks the traditional architectural generation method, and uses natural rocks for reference to produce folds and cracks under the action of external forces, but still maintains the square and sharp shape, so as to metaphor the unyielding character of prisoners of war. In the tortuous and changing space sequence, narrow alleys, cages, wind courts, twisted exhibition space, wall ceiling without any decoration, and light environment created by high windows, lighting holes and small patio are deliberately arranged. Combined with the exhibition pictures, a sad and heavy atmosphere is created. Many audiences shed tears during the visit. The whole architectural space sequence ends with a calm water courtyard, where people can think about and re-examine the fate of prisoners of war. Tangible intangible tangible creative process deepens the appeal of architecture.
