Qixian cave is located in a secluded valley behind the old town of Luxi (Wuxi town) and under the Santai mountain (Dangjia mountain). There are steep mountains on both sides and narrow canyon in the middle. There is a stream at the bottom of the valley. The running water is gurgling and does not dry up for many years. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, there was a woman surnamed Li in the county. She was disillusioned with the world and became a monk. She wanted to find a quiet place to practice. As a wealthy family, her family invested in the construction of "Qixian cave" in a place with big rocks on both sides of the valley. There are authigenic rocks on two sides and bricks on the other. After entering the hall, there is a statue of Avalokitesvara surrounded by cigarettes. From the side door you can climb up the roof along the rock. The environment here is quiet and the landscape is beautiful. Although it is not a cave, it has the feeling of being in a real cave. The original cave was demolished in the early 1950s. In the 1980s, people built temples next to the original site. Outside the gate of the temple are the earth hall and the spirit palace. After entering the gate are the main hall, the Guanyin hall and the monk's dormitory. In addition, a pond built in the 1960s added to the scenery of the Qixian cave.
