Sangzhu rock painting is carved on a rock in wuerqi village, sangzhu Township, Pishan County, facing the river beach. The rock painting is more than 110 kilometers southeast of Pishan county and has entered the shallow mountain area of Kunlun mountain. The rock art is more than 3 meters long and 1.3 meters high. There are various kinds of images on the picture: some people bow and shoot arrows; some people follow the horse to walk; some people ride on horseback and walk; some people are animals with two horns on their heads, similar to bighorn sheep. There are also hand shape and simple lines with unknown meaning. The big figure is 27 cm high and 20 cm wide, and the big animal is 20 cm high and 23 cm wide. At the top left of the picture, there are symbols like words, which are made by knocking on the rocks with hard objects. There are no ancient relics near the rock paintings or in the river valleys. There is no legend in the folk, about the age is too long. Figures and animals are very image, simple lines, primitive style. It is generally believed that the works of the primitive clan society may reflect the life of animal husbandry and hunting in ancient times.

In 399 A.D., a group of four people from the Jin Dynasty monk FA Xian set out from Chang'an and went to India to learn Buddhist scriptures. After two years of arduous trekking, they came to Khotan in 401. With the help of the king of Khotan, Faxian stayed in Khotan for three months, participated in the local annual Buddhist ceremony, and then continued westward. One year later, he finally arrived in India. When he returned to Chang'an, in addition to bringing back a large number of Buddhist classics, FA Xian also wrote a book about the Buddhist kingdom, which records the situation of "zanmu Temple".

The temple is located 36 kilometers southwest of Hotan, also known as "kukmarimu" (Persian phonetic translation, meaning "Snake Mountain"). It is said that Islamic practitioners once practiced together with snakes in this place, so it gets its name. There are two layers of caves in the site and three deep pits in the West. There is a Mazha in the back of the mountain, where the soldiers who died in previous battles are buried. Every July and August, Muslims from far and near come here to pay homage.
