Fangcheng Shichuan scenic area (seventy two pools scenic area) is the entrance of Funiu Mountain tourist area. geographical position

At the east end of Funiu, 15 kilometers north of Fangcheng County, there is a Qifeng mountain. The seven peaks are arranged from west to East in a "one" shape. The peaks are almost the same in height and distance. They stand tall and steep, just like a shoulder to arm guard. There is a three kilometer long ravine on the west side of Qifeng, and a waterfall more than two meters high on the top. It goes down the ravine to form 72 pools, which is the Shichuan scenic spot (Dahekou village, Yangji Township, Fangcheng County, Nanyang City, Henan Province).

origin

It was formed 150 million years ago, with the top-down steps extending for 4 kilometers. It has a large scale, uncanny workmanship and unique structure. It is known as the rare "Shichuan cave" by geological experts. The new name of "Shichuan" was created and entered into the national geological dictionary. The structural fissure (joint) system of quanbaishan granite is affected by the periodic uplift of the neotectonic movement of the crust, which makes the river erode to the source. The X-shaped structural fissure intersection point of the granite Valley is selected to cut down, and the water drop (waterfall) and stone (rock) cave type granite landscape is formed.

There are nearly a hundred stone (rock) caves distributed in the scenic area. The cylindrical stone (rock) is the basic form of various deformations. The diameter of the caves ranges from tens of centimeters to more than 10 meters, the depth (the shallowest is more than one meter) is up to 34 meters, and it can reach several meters below the waterfall or water drop. From the point of direct genesis, the stone (rock) cavity is a kind of cavity formed by flowing water carrying sand and stone impacting the intersection of rotating X-shaped structural fractures. There are nearly 100 caves in the 4 km long gorge area. From top to bottom, from steep to gentle, they are naturally connected by years of continuous flowing water, and the steps extend to the erosion base level. Looking around, it looks like a spectacular stream of caves.

Main attractions

In Shichuan, the spring flows continuously all the year round. There are nearly 100 caves, pools and pools with different shapes. The waterfall is graceful and elegant. In spring, there are flowers, Forsythia suspense, Yuanhu, etc., all over the mountains, rich and elegant; in summer, there are green, maple poplar, thorn autumn and other native forests, fresh and vigorous; in autumn, there are fruits, hickory, chestnut, hawthorn, etc., salivating, bold and forthright; in winter, there are glaciers, ice waterfall connected, bright and pure. When you set foot here, you always feel relaxed and happy, and forget to return. Seventy two pools came in a straight line, in a descending ladder shape. Datan has four or five rooms, while Xiaotan has one or two rooms. The upper pool falls down, and the lower pool connects with the upper pool, which is like a melon tied on a vine and a bell tied on a rope. The water is deep and clear, and the sand and stone at the bottom of the pool are countless. The beautiful scenery is reflected, and the brocade scales are shining. In late autumn, the water is thin and the mountain is cold. On the water stone, it looks like the shaking green silk yarn. In summer, after the heavy rain, the torrents rush out like a lion roaring in the ravine. Seven turns and eight turns, flying snow splashes jade. That sound is no less than the momentum of ten thousand planes taking off and landing. The pool water will occasionally disappear, and it will come out of the grottoes not far away. It is divided into several streams. The sound of Ding Dong is clear and pleasant, and the sound of gurgling is beautiful.

On both sides of the lake, the mountains and rocks are jagged and scattered, standing majestically and strangely. Stone shed and stone house can be seen everywhere. From the hillside to the shore, pines and cypresses are tall and straight, lush, shady, green vines, climbing and weaving, soft bamboos blocking the road, and flowers are clustered and colorful. The dangerous place of the cliff, the mid air of the cliff, and the overhanging woods all show their unyielding strength.
