Wuyuan mountain, also known as Wuya mountain, is located in the northeast of Langxi County and the southwest of Liyang. It is located in the area of Tianmu Mountain and Tianmu Lake in Meizhu of shezhu. It is 441 meters above sea level, 400 meters high, covering an area of 40 square kilometers and 25000 mu of forestry area. It is the boundary mountain between Langxi County and Liyang City of Jiangsu Province.

Introduction

It is said that Wu Zixu passed through Zhaoguan pass, went from Chu to Wu, and was blocked by the oncoming mountain. He jumped off the horse, pulled the horse's tail, with people and horses, and went up the mountain upside down, leaving footprints in the opposite direction, confusing the pursuers, so Wuyuan mountain got its name.

There used to be the ancestral hall of Prime Minister Wu at the top and bottom of the mountain, and there were many literati and poets who came to pay homage to the temple, leaving a lot of poems. There is a sanatorium at the foot of the mountain, with pavilions, flower beds, gardens, small bridges, running water, swimming pools, sports grounds and rockeries in a well arranged layout.

Historical evolution

Since historical records, wuyuanshan has a history of more than 2500 years since the spring and Autumn period and Warring States period. After several wars, she is like an old man with rich experience. If the wheel of history can be turned back, she will tell us the great changes and decline of the whole nation in Jiangnan. Up to now, wuyuanshan still contains many puzzling landscapes and historic sites, which are all sighing. From the site of Baimiao temple at the foot of the mountain (where folk incense has been burning ever since), we have climbed to the mountainside along the artificial stone steps nearly 800 meters long. On the left, "Wuya feicui" is one of the eight ancient sceneries of Langchuan. On the right is the "happy horse road" more than 200 meters long and 4 meters wide. In the south of the mountain is the site of Longwang Temple (which was burned by the Kuomintang in the Republic of China). There are towering ancient trees in front of the temple, and two ancient wells behind the temple The water is clear and not dry all the year round, which is called holy water by the masses. Every time there is a severe drought, people from dozens of miles around go to this temple to pray for rain. Along the stone steps to the top of the mountain, there are more than 500 square meters of flat land, which is the remains of Zixu temple. Standing on the top of the mountain, with the smog on the hillside and the purple air on the top of the head, people feel like they are in a fairyland and they forget to return.
