Shuangmen Bridge

Shuangmen bridge, located in Jixi, Daji village, Songyuan Town, Qingyuan County, Zhejiang Province, is a wooden arch bridge with a length of 11.15 meters and a width of 4.5 meters. It was first built in 1049.

Wu Gu and Wu Hu, the two sons of Wu Chongxu, the ancestor of Zhaoji in Daji, were both Jinshi in the second year of Tiansheng (1024) and the first year of Jingyou (1034), respectively. Within ten years, Bozhong's double wild goose pagoda was inscribed with the title of "a double Jinshi". With the emperor's permission, Li people built a corridor bridge to commemorate the grand event. Because the bridge house has double gatehouses, the bridge connects Fang Fang Fang and protects the bridge, which is also called "Shuanggui Lianfang".

Historical story

According to historical records, before Daji's Wu ancestors settled in Daji, there were two social temples in Daji village, Linqing and Putian, which were respectively located on the Linqing bridge and Putian bridge at that time. The villagers take the place of the temple by the bridge. Every year on the first month or the first and the fifteenth day of each month, they go to the bridge to worship the leader of the society. The status of the corridor bridge and the temple in people's mind is self-evident.

In 1004 ad, in the first year of Jingde, Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty, the ancestor of the Wu family, chongxugong, moved here from Songyuan Town, which is now the county seat. His name is Daji, which means that his descendants have the ability to manage the country and help the world. Chongxugong advocated the family of poetry and calligraphy, respected teachers and education, spared no expense to build the "baoyindong" library, and paid great attention to hiring four famous teachers and professors. In the second year of emperor Renzong of Song Dynasty (1024), Wu Guzhong, the eldest son, was a Jinshi. He went to Dali temple to comment on the affairs, and the crown prince praised and improved the officials. In the first year of song Jingyou (1034), Wu Hu, the second son of Song Dynasty, became a Jinshi again. Within ten years, Bo Zhong won both gold medals and was famous in his hometown for a time. The clansmen decided to build two majestic wooden arches with double eaves and three bays, and built them on the "holy land" in the eyes of the villagers, namely, the community temple, in order to promote glory and inspire future generations. Therefore, a wooden square was built at both ends of Linqing bridge. The bridge connects Fangfang and Shuangfang to protect the bridge. It is solid and beautiful with unique structure. Taking the meaning of "Shuanggui Lianfang", which means "one door and two Jinshi", Linqing bridge was also renamed "shuangmen bridge".

Bozhong's double toad palace made shuangmen bridge. In turn, shuangmen bridge proves the glory of a double Jinshi. A historical fact can be called a good story. In the long history of nearly a thousand years, Wu's descendants inherited the legacy of their ancestors, worked hard and studied hard, and produced many talents. In the 230 years from the second year of Renzong Tiansheng (1024) in the Northern Song Dynasty to the fourth year of lizongbaoyou (1256) in the Southern Song Dynasty, this tiny area with a population of less than 300 people and a radius of less than one kilometer has successively passed the examination of 26 Jinshi, which has created the "Jinshi era" of Daji village. As the 26 Jinshi are all members of the Wu clan, they have the relationship of grandparents, grandchildren, father and son, uncles and nephews, and brothers, leaving a lot of beautiful talks about the inheritance of family and school. For example, Wu Gu and Wu Hu are brothers, Wu Qi and Wu Shu are cousins, and Wu Huan and Wu Yanshen are father and son. A double Jinshi (Wu Gu and Wu Hu), brother Tongbang (Wu Yu's fifth son and Wu Yi's sixth son ascended kuichaoke Jinshi in the sixth year of Xining reign of emperor Shenzong of the Song Dynasty), uncle Tongdeng (Wu Yanshen and Li Gang, two years of zhengzongzhenghe of the Song Dynasty) (1112), four people Tongke (Wu Yanshen, Wu Kui, Wu Jing, Wu Shu), Daji Jinshi became famous.
