Danlan ancient road
The ancient Danlan road was opened by Yang Yanli, the governor of Taiwan, in the second year of Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It was the land access between Xinbei and Ilan at that time. In the sixth year of Tongzhi period, Liu Mingdeng, the commander-in-chief of Taiwan, entered Ilan from there. He once wrote a poem on the rock wall of sandiaoling. The poem was engraved on the stone wall and inlaid with gold foil, which is known as the "golden stele" in history. Therefore, this section of road is also known as the "golden stele ancient road", which is similar to the road passing through Caoling "Caoling ancient road" is also a famous sightseeing trail in Northern Taiwan. Tourists can enter the ancient road from Shuangxi, jiufenjian, and exit near Houdong primary school in Ruifang district. They can also climb near Houdong primary school.
