Dongfenglin scenic spot is located in the southeast of Xingyi City, Guizhou Province, covering an area of about 70 square kilometers. It is a member scenic spot of Xingyi National Geopark of the people's Republic of China.

Overview of scenic spots

Xingyi East Peak Forest scenic area is located in the West Bank of the downstream of Maling River, covering an area of about 70 square kilometers. The karst landscape in this area is a kind of landform formed by the combination of cluster peak forest connected with the base of karst cone peak and karst funnel (Tiankeng) and depression. It is the product of karst development in depth to adapt to the declining erosion base level in recent years.

The scenic spot is full of forest, cluster, mountain, cloud and sea. The main scenic spots are Yangping Tiankeng, juxiufeng, poyangkou, Suzhou Tielin, etc. In the area, there are different kinds of peak forests, such as liejiang peak forest, Baojian peak forest, Luohan peak forest, Qunlong peak forest and so on, forming a grand view of the peak forest.

Xingyi East peak forest is uninhibited and arrogant. It can also be said that the mountains in the East peak forest are full of strong men. Xingyi City is located in the junction of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces. The typical karst topography is prominent, forming a unique cone-shaped karst geological landscape.

More than 300 years ago, Xu Xiake, a famous geographer and traveler, visited Wanfeng forest twice and said, "there are so many mountains in the world, only here can be a forest.". Xu Xiake wrote in his travel notes: "Congli's peak", "majestic thousands of miles", "for the southwest shape victory", scattered in the peak forest garden river, Buyi village, harmony between man and nature. The mountains of Xifeng forest are gentle and considerate, while the mountains of Dongfeng forest and Xifeng forest are magnificent and gentle. Xingyi City is located in the junction of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces. The typical karst landform is prominent, so it forms a unique cone-shaped karst geological landscape.

Features of scenic spots

Most of the mountains in the East peak forest of Xingyi are connected, like the rolling waves in the sea, giving people a sense of atmosphere and shock. The mountains are like thousands of troops surging, making people blood boiling.

Xu Xiake, a traveler in the Ming Dynasty, had to exclaim when he traveled to Dongfeng forest. In his diary, Mr. Xu wrote that "thousands of miles are magnificent, which is a marvelous victory in the southwest". So far, this word has been engraved on the stone tablet at the top of the mountain of "the first pass of ten thousand peaks" in Dongfeng forest scenic area. Dongfenglin and xifenglin are natural museums of natural karst geology and geomorphology. They show the unique beauty of karst and the unique nature unreservedly in front of us. It's amazing. How amazing nature is!

Dongfenglin scenic area is close to Wanfeng Lake. The forest and cluster of peaks in dongfenglin scenic area rise and fall one after another, with many mountains, clouds and misty sea.

The main scenic spots are Yangping Tiankeng, Juxiu peak, poyangkou, cycadine forest, etc. The Baojian peak forest, Luohan peak forest, Qunlong peak forest, etc. have their own characteristics, forming a grand view of the peak forest. Hongchun scenic spot in Dongfeng forest is a part of Maling River Gorge Wanfeng Lake scenic spot, 35 km away from Xingyi City. It is located at Hongchun wharf of Wanfeng Lake, the confluence of Maling River and Nanpan River. It is the deep water area of Wanfeng Lake, integrating Valley, peak and lake landscape.

Surrounded by peaks and forests along the coast, the lake is full of extraordinary momentum. The scenery in the lake is as beautiful as a fairyland. There is a poem praising: "the water in the water is strange, the water in the depth of the mountains is beautiful, the mountains and rivers are hard to return to, and the tourists are drunk." The scenic spot is formed by the backwater of Tianshengqiao reservoir in Nanpanjiang River along the downstream of Maling River. Its main landscape types include broad lake surface, surrounded peaks, high gorge and flat lake, and stone forest on the lake bank.

The combination of lake water, peak cluster and stone forest constitutes a wonderful and highly ornamental landscape. It is an ideal place for water entertainment, water sports, leisure vacation and conference tourism. The tourism aesthetic characteristics of the park are beautiful, deep and broad.
