Yunhai Temple

The former site of Yunhai temple in Tianjin is Laoye temple, which was built in Shunzhi period of Qing Dynasty by the descendants of Guan Yunxiang in Gucheng County of Shanxi Province. The temple is divided into two halls. The front hall supports master Guan and the left and right Dharma protectors. The back hall supports Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. In front of the gate of the temple, there are towering ancient locust trees. In the east of the temple, there is an ancient road leading through the entrance.

Brief introduction to temples

In 1953, the statue of Buddha was destroyed and turned into a school. In 1964, when the temple was demolished, an ancient jar was kept in the temple. After many vicissitudes, the jar was invited back to the temple
