Green water recreation area

Zhongheng highway is located in this recreation area. Located between 171k and 173k of Taiba line (Zhongheng highway), tailuge and Hualian are connected in the East, Tianxiang and Dayuling are connected in the West. The geology and lithology belong to Tianxiang layer, mainly composed of quartz mica schist and thousand slate, but a small part of the geology contains a small amount of marble or quartz marble. Besides, the animals and plants in the recreation area are very rich, especially birds and butterflies.

A green water management station is set up in the area to provide recreation consultation, interpretation services, road condition inquiry, environmental cleaning and facility maintenance.

Cimu Bridge

Located three kilometers to the east of Tianxiang, the bridge is also the intersection of Liwu River and Pengxi River, so it is also called "confluence". Cimu bridge is built with Dali stone, a special product of Hualien. It is white with solemn beauty. On the east side of the bridge, there is a "loving mother Pavilion" built by former President Jiang Gong in memory of his loving mother, Mrs. Wang Tai.

Frog stone

On the bed of Liwu River, there is an independent huge stone with peculiar shape. The middle layer of the stone is white marble, and the upper and lower layers are dark green schist. It looks like a frog in the river, so it is called frog stone. On the frog stone, the management office set up a pavilion called "Orchid Pavilion". From a distance, it looked like a frog with a crown on its head.

Confluence campsite

The confluence campsite is located in Taroko National Park, only three kilometers away from Tianxiang. It is named confluence because Liwu River and Pengxi River converge here. It is one of the eight scenic spots of Hualien in the past. There are 12 wooden open-air tents, picnics, parking lots, public toilets, cold showers and lighting facilities. It is open and free for tourists. But tourists need to bring their own camping equipment.

Green water confluence trail

The green water confluence trail is one of the ancient Hehuan Yueling road. It is about 2 kilometers long and is a gravel and rock road. It is a walk along the trail. There are guide boards, trees, running water, tunnels, and if you are lucky, there are all kinds of animals to accompany you.
