Puqian village is 6 km to the south of wharf town government. Puqian village committee is located in Tulou corner. Historical evolution

Because of the development of shops here in the past, it is called shop front. During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Nanpu Bao. After liberation in 1949, it belonged to Shinan township. During the period of communization, it was assigned to Nandong brigade. In 1979, it was divided into Puqian brigade. In 1984, it was changed into Puqian village committee.
