Huaishudong scenic spot is located in nanshangmiao Township, Chaoyang County, 28 kilometers south of Chaoyang City, at the foot of Baishan Mountain, 1.3 kilometers west of Chaoqing Road, with an area of 57 square kilometers. As early as the Hongshan culture period, our ancestors developed this treasure land. From Xia, Shang, Zhou, spring and autumn, Warring States, Qin and Han Dynasties to Sui and Tang Dynasties, architecture began to be built here, especially in Liao Dynasty. During the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, many tourists came to Jinzhou, Xingcheng and other places for sightseeing and summer vacation. In the Qing Dynasty, large-scale construction was carried out to rebuild temples, and the incense was very popular. As there are temples, towers, water and forests in the scenic area, and the climate is pleasant, a large number of spontaneous tourists have been patronizing before the development. Now the local government has set up a special "huaishudong natural scenic area" management office, and has carried out the planning and design of the development and construction. The transportation, posts and telecommunications, communications and other infrastructure will be completed. With the gradual increase of scenic spots and tourists, the interrelated tertiary industry develops. In 1995, the catering, service and entertainment industries alone increased by more than 80. In 1995, the total tourism income of the scenic spot was nearly one million yuan.

The main scenic spot of Huaishu cave is Yongquan temple. The main buildings are Bodhisattva hall, Longwang hall, Guangong hall, etc. There is a mountain spring gushing out from the stone carving tap outside the Dragon King Hall and pouring into the fishing pond. In the mountains, peach, plum, apricot, mulberry, pine, cypress, elm, poplar, locust and ancient trees are flourishing. The most unique is that there are several ancient locust trees more than 300 years old in the temple, which cover the sky like a big umbrella, which is so spectacular that the name of the locust tree cave comes from it.

In the scenic area, there are many rocks, strange shapes, cool and delicious spring water, which is known as "dragon holy water". In addition, there is a stone pagoda built in Liao Dynasty, exquisite and unique, which is a municipal cultural relics protection unit. The temple is Yongquan temple, with four halls: Sakyamuni Buddha Hall, Guanyin hall, Yaowang hall and Longwang hall, all built in Liao Dynasty.

In 1995, the Department received more than 30 foreign visitors and nearly 300000 domestic one-day visitors. In dry and hot summer, "huaishudong natural scenic spot" has become an excellent summer resort in our city.
