National key cultural relics protection units. Xuejiagang site has a long history, wide distribution, thick cultural layer, rich relics and profound cultural connotation. It has become a typical representative of xuejiagang culture, an ancient culture in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The site is located on a long and narrow hill with an oval platform, covering a total area of about 100000 square meters. The site is surrounded by streams, beautiful pines and bamboos, and beautiful scenery, which is most suitable for human survival and reproduction. There are more than 100 Neolithic tombs, ash pits, remnant foundations and other relics in the site. More than 2000 pottery, stone tools, jade and other production and living utensils and decorations were unearthed. The Neolithic cultural remains of the site are obviously different from the cultural features of other surrounding areas, and have an independent development sequence. It is named "xuejiagang culture" by the archaeologists. Xuejiagang culture is influenced by many cultures in the lower reaches of the Yellow River. In the late stage, it integrates various cultural factors in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and eventually becomes the only important branch of Anhui through communication and development The important tribal culture plays an important role in the Neolithic archaeological research in the Yangtze River Basin, and has been widely concerned by the academic circles.
